Namma Bengaluru

BENGALURU has earned sobriquets like 'Silicon Valley of India', 'Pub Capital of India', and 'City of Gardens'. With its beautiful parks, avenues, multiplexes and historical monuments, Bangalore is bubbling with life and energy. Or must I say was?

What was once a pulsating nightlife now only until 11.30pm,happening pubs and pleasing climate, Bangalore is sure to set your heart racing! In spite of its keepers!

The Government here rocks…or must I say it MINES it’s own business!

People in governance know the surges of crime, dacoity, rape, murder.scams etc , but they hardly do anything to prevent it!The people in the city have gotten immune to the injuries inflicted upon this City day in and day out!

How many times can Bengaluru Heal? From Plunderers of Natural resources,Trees uprooting the very roots of existence of this City so scarred by keepers who hardly care!

Is there a way out? With most roads being potholed, congested, pedestrian-unfriendly roads, driving is more like dare devilry! Sheer indifference and civic apathy! Scarred for a lifetime!

Crime has escalated! Apathy rampant! Do we really CARE?

Thefts in the hotels and apartments are very common, and there is a high demand for laptops, digital cameras, cell phones, passports and jewellery. Pickpockets are everywhere, especially in crowded markets, trains and buses.Openly service providers solicit at an MG road signal…how ironic…a red light area with a difference! What a thing to boast of? Again Bengaluru has been torn apart! One more scar!

The Scar-CITY has grown tremendously in the last 20 years.

Bengaluru my dear Friends, is home to many brazenly Corrupt members of various Political parties besides Business magnates,Educational Institutions,Premier Research facilities and healthcare. This State produces more Doctors being produced than patients!

It is a shame, in this day and age, a thriving country like India , we still tolerate an inept system of governance filled mostly with uneducated goondas who supplement their income by milking the victims of the crime and common citizens who see barely any hope. The perpetrators most often being the very ones who are supposed to protect the citizens!

The governance is an example of PROTECTOR TURNING PREDATOR!

The sylvan surroundings of Bangalore are sure to soothe your weary nerves.
Sure this Lal-Blog will bring out the Satire in a city which I so very deeply Love and Live in-My very own Scar CITY…BENGALURU!

  1. LOL @ "....it MINES it’s own business!"
BTW ... ScarCITY I am not from BLR but a freq visitor to the city and it's the same story of poor governance and poor administration. Worse ... it's citizens not doing enough to fight back the system. It's a sad story.

  3. Wholesomely endorse the blog! A sad, pathetic remnants of what was once a glorious and desired city, now boggled down in both human and concrete jungle leaving no space or air to breathe!!!

    Bereaved is not the word.

  4. ur very much right, but instead of blaming others, we should blame ourselves (bangaloreans) by not voting or choosing the right person, we only blog or comment, instead act and save bengaluru

  5. Hi, nice write up. So apt and telling. Bangalore, scar city is also on its way to be a BigBore City. "Inept governance and uneducated goondas" at the helm of affairs is unfortunately, an across-the-board phenomenon. From Bangalore to Barielly. But bangalore always had (and still has)so much promise. 'Paradise lost' may be an exaggeration , but some where there lies the tragedy.
Once again...my compliments for a very well written piece.
    Warm Regards.
    Deep.

  10. I was so excited before coming to Bangalore. I had heard praises about this city and my expectation BAR about this place had no limits. When I came here, the obvious was awaiting me. I was disappointed to say the least. I am a North Indian. I would have loved to mingle with the people of Bangalore and laugh, enjoy, and live this city. I wasn't then aware of the state of affairs.

Today, I want to back to Delhi. Irony has it that I can't. Not at least for a couple of years. I am bored, but I will learn to live with it, and find other ways to love life in this going dead city.

  11. I fell in love with Bangalore 6 years ago when I first visited this place. Moved right into the relationship at the first possibility but now the relationship is going through difficult times. Your blog explains why. I think its not going to last and I have to find another place to live!
